As a Mom of two girls who danced collectively for over 26 years at Peacock School of Dance, I can honestly say that we feel honoured as a family to have been part of such a loving and community- oriented studio. In a world in which large studios lack any personal connections, and the focus seems to only be on competitions, PSD is a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere where all students are treated as important participants. In truth, the focus seems to not only be on the development of dance technique, but also the holistic development of the student. In doing so, the Directors of PSD realize that they are not only training future dancers, but also young women and men into strong, confident and healthy individuals. Furthermore, although students participate in competitions in order to further develop their performance and dance skills, Peacock School of Dance also places importance on yearly examinations which ensures that students master the syllabus as determined and accredited by Cecchetti Canada and the Performing Arts Educators of Canada. I have also had the pleasure of participating in Adult Hip Hop, Adult Ballet and Adult Tap classes held at “The Annex”. All classes were taught by accredited teachers who had an obvious love for their dance style which was shown through their delivery and demeanor during class. As someone who struggles to engage in physical activity, I found these classes fun and motivating. Peacock School of Dance provides quality dance training no matter your age or level!
