Pointe

Pointe

Pointe technique is one of the most iconic elements of ballet. The inspiration for pointe technique is the wish that the ballet dancer appears weightless, light footed and graceful while seeming to defy gravity. Pointe work in classical ballet is formalized by pointe technique. It is performed in pointe shoes. This class is by invitation and students must be working at Grade 3 level Cecchetti ballet before being considered. Below you’ll find a list of requirements for your child’s appearance for Pointe:


HAIR
Females:
Hair is to be worn in a bun.

Males:
Neat and tidy hair.

ATTIRE
No jewelry or any kind is permitted in class. Students are to come to class with a clean body suit and tights. All dancewear can be purchased from Dancewear Niagara (11 Balfour St, St. Catharines, ON). Please tell them you are with Peacock School of Dance and they will give you the proper style, colour & brand required.

Females: All Ballet Levels
