Acro
Acro also known as “Acrobatic dance” is a fusion of classical dance technique with gymnastics. Acro blends the athleticism of an acrobat in a dance context, resulting in. Dancers will increase strength, flexibility and balance as they learn skills such as headstands, cartwheels and walkovers. Tricks are developed on an individual basis depending on age and ability. Acro ages 6 years old and up. Below you’ll find a list of requirements for your child’s appearance for Acro:
HAIR
Females:
Hair is to be worn in a low ponytail or braid.
Males:
Neat and tidy hair.
ATTIRE
No jewelry or any kind is permitted in class. Students are to come to class with a clean body suit and tights. All dancewear can be purchased from Dancewear Niagara (11 Balfour St, St. Catharines, ON). Please tell them you are with Peacock School of Dance and they will give you the proper style, colour & brand required.
Females:
– Stretchy shorts
– Tank top (any colour)
– Bare feet
Males:
– Shorts
